> ### Submit a [Locality application form](https://redcap-wdhb.hanz.health.nz/surveys/?s=KL4XA9NRWMFDEAJL) and the research/audit protocol.

> The Research & Knowledge Centre aims to review the application within 5 working days.  Once reviewed, you will receive an acknowledgement email containing the locality process that you are required to follow before locality approval will be granted.

> > ℹ️ Some research requires an independent ethics review, for example if the research involves patient interviews, access to health records, or access to identifiable genetic or biological information.  Depending on the research protocol, ethics review may be undertaken by the NEAC, HDEC, AHREC or another institutional ethics committee.
