Once your online application has been reviewed by the Administering Research Office, you will receive a confirmation email with the required approvals for Health New Zealand Research Authorisation. The application will also be reviewed by each host site for local capacity and capablity requirements. The Waitematā Research and Knowledge Centre team who will let you know the local capacity and capability requirements for studies where Waitematā is a host site. For a study to commence at Waitematā you will need to have HNZ Research Authorisation and local capacity and capability approval. For single site studies the Waitematā Research & Knowledge Centre will coordinate both elements.

This approval pathway is an iterative process.  Most tasks can be done concurrently.  Not all tasks are applicable to your study.
