The application form can be accessed from the following link. Submissions will only **be accepted during the call for abstracts period: Tuesday 5th May – 9am Tuesday 9th June 2026**. By submission of your abstract, you are agreeing to have your poster or oral submission published on our webpage once accepted.

The accepted posters and 10 min oral presentations will be available for **viewing from Tuesday 11th September **on the links below. These links will be live for the online event.

## <span style="color: #008da6">**Awards Event 26**</span><sup><span style="color: #008da6">**th**</span></sup><span style="color: #008da6">** November 2026**</span>

The Awards Event will be held in person on the 26th November at Whenua Pupuke, North Shore Hospital, from 1:15-3pm, hosted by MC **Lorna Subritzky**. Lorna is a trustee of the WellFoundation and radio host of CoastFM’s daytime radio.

The awards for both orals and posters will be presented along with a presentation from guest speaker, **Professor Julian Patton**. Enjoy the opportunity to meet and converse with other researchers over a cuppa and kai during the event.

**Professor Julian Paton** is a world‑leading heart researcher recognised with the 2024 Gluckman Medal, the University of Auckland’s top medical research award. His work has transformed understanding of heart disease and led to the development of an innovative pacemaker designed to reverse heart failure—now in first‑in‑human trials. Since joining the university in 2017, he has built Manaaki Manawa, a faculty research centre, and the national Centre of Research Excellence, Pūtahi Manawa, secured significant research funding, published over 440 papers, supervised 26 PhD students, given public lectures, had 24,600 citations, and championed heart‑health equity through strong partnerships with Māori and Pacific communities.
